it's killing me. i want something decent with a drawing field big enough for at least two people. groupboard was cool but waaaaay too small.

about your own art style? what makes you happy about it?


i like my style because while it's heavily ornamented, i think it still maintains a certain simplicity. almost a dressing up of simple subjects. just a man, just an animal. a sort of divining of "average", "common" place.

in no order:

1: blankets when i get cold, it takes me a long, long time to warm up. also in the deepest part of winter, i may have up to six blankets on my bed.

2: swings hammocks, bench or just single-person swings, i don't care. i love 'em. inside, i'm really six years old.

3: music all of it.

4: art almost all of it.

5: painttool SAI i can't find another crack after getting this new computer. maybe i should actually crack down and buy the license. best paint program i've ever used.

6: hype machine. awesome music all the time.









i wish my computer would stop farting at me. it keeps making an error sound at random times. i can not figure out why.

i've been obsessed with reading them lately.



i love love love a good online comic. i like them as long as possible and they must have amazing art.


here's a list of what i'm reading lately:

Two Keys by ~nuu man i can NOT get enough of nuu's style. i saw this comic, not knowing who drew it but within one page, i knew instantly. it is THAT recognizable. to top it off this comic does something for me that few do: i can hear the characters. they have enough individuality that i hear colin's voice (well, my mental interpretation of it) in my head. i can read this like i would watch a movie. important!

Two Rooks by Alice i love this. it gets dense and heady sometimes, but the sarcastic, dry humor shines through throughout.

Metanoia by ~StarTyrian (with some art by ~melukilan) if the first chapter/page doesn't strike you as artistically impressive...KEEP READING. the art (from both artists) and the story are impressive. i sit patiently and wait for the next updates...

Kagerou by ~AtomicFireball (i have been following kagerou for a fucking long time & i'm continually impressed. this thing has 46 chapters! 46 HOLY CRAP. and it's still going!

The Meek by `alexds1 what's that? you haven't heard of The Meek? WHAT. FULL COLOR. AWESOME ART. the plot keeps going and going! i'm excited for this one because it's pretty rare that you see this level of coloring done on a comic, especially an online one.
