i have taken a sudden interest in fashion, and photography. not as a personal venture (i am not a fashionable person, nor am i a photographer) but more as a source for inspiration.


i've got my eye on a book at the local (& only) bookstore that's just a general 'eople of the world' style thing. i am fascinated by people already and to see so many different facets of humanity is just...overwhelming in a good way. i'd really love to find a handful of good fashion blogs (some good MEN'S FASHION blogs, mostly. women's are easy to find) and if you know of any, link me up!


it's not happening very fast, but i can feel a change in my drawing technique coming. this, the new year i would like to do more with color. more watercolour, more everything.



in short, i'm feeling good about art lately.

first off watch this. it's france gall's "poupee de cire, poupee de son" and it's amazing. and she's cute.


also just wanna put out there to all you uninterested goobers that i do commissions, and charge on a case by case basis. i'd say i was fairly cheap,



also i wanna pimp The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for not being a total disappointment. i give it a 9/10. a missing point accounts for lack of easy to find treasure. oh there's some. wood hearts, bee larvae...i find a ton of those. and practically nothing else. AND I ALWAYS LOSE THE PRIZE POSTCARDS GOD WHY. oh and the other half of that point is CRAZY TRAINS. i fuckin' hate those things. sons a bitches.

i have yet to totally finish it. i still have rails to open (i can't fuckin' figure out how to open the desert area. if you know...TELL ME.) and i have neither fought the final boss, nor have i finished the last level of the tower of spirits. another gripe is that it does seem to take a while to get from place to place, even with the warp sections.

i am not a visual person. that is when something is described to me, i often can't picture it well. i'm bad with faces. i mean i will recognize someone but not always know from where because i can't picture where else i've seen them.


for fuck's sake i saw the teller lady from my bank at work like four times and couldn't remember her name or why i recognized her. i thought maybe she had worked at my high school but that wasn't so.


does that put me in a weird place as an artist? i think that may be why i draw people and stuff the way i do. off hand, i can't really get the intricacies of how a person ought to look so i really improvise.



i also have always sucked at drawing from life or still life.

i'm gonna start maintaining my LiveJournal account for fun now. it'll be a sketchblog/music blog and basically anything else that tickles my fancy :I



so go here to see sketches & stuff i wouldn't bother putting on dA! and some other shit too, whatever.

every now and again i get this urge.


i grow unhappy with my current style and i have to change it. even if it's something small i have to fix it or do it differently.



right now, just tonight i have decided i need to change the way i draw.


it's weird. the way i draw now doesn't make me happy. so hopefully...if i can change it, even a little bit, i'll be good to go!
